Tron has been trying to transition the ERC20 token, the Old TRX, and burn the superseded tokens since the MainNet launch on June 25, 2018. Tron has already eradicated approximately 99% of the Old TRX tokens.

This burning procedure corresponds with the 5th anniversary of TRON MainNet. TRX and the TRON network have spurred each other forward throughout the years, resulting in a slew of notable milestones.

TRX is now listed on over 130 cryptocurrency exchanges across the world, with over 80 million accounts holding the coin. TRX has also been granted legal status in Dominica as an approved digital currency. TRX ETN debuted on the Deutsche Börse in September 2021 and has since expanded across 14 EU financial marketplaces.

TRX is more than simply a token; it serves as a common currency for other TRC-based tokens and is the driving force behind TRON network transactions and apps. TRX is now accepted as a payment mechanism on the Web3 retail portal Uquid as well as the blockchain-based trip booking platform Travala.com. TRX trades may also be carried out within the Telegram chat client.

TRX has a market valuation of $6.88 billion, making it the 11th biggest cryptocurrency in the world, according to CoinMarketCap statistics. TRON predicts a continuous increase in TRX users and an extension of its impact as it continues to gain momentum in both emerging and global markets.
